Obituary of Clara Jeroszko

Clara A. Jeroszko, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday November 24, 2014 at her home with family by her side. Born and raised in Mont Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marcyanna Marchewka. Clara was a 1937 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She married her beloved husband Leon S. Jeroszko on June 20, 1943 at the Church of Saint Adalbert. Clara worked for many years, until her retirement, as a secretary at the Roberts Piano Company in Schenectady. When she wasn't working, Clara made sure she used the most of her free time. She enjoyed cooking polish cuisine, playing in her neighborhood bridge group and gardening. One of Clara's favorite things to do was to go camping with her family in Alexandria Bay, New York. She was also a proud member of the Women's Fire Auxiliary Thomas Corners Fire Department, the Home Bureau Craft Group and St. Joseph's Church in Scotia. Clara was predeceased by her husband Leon S. Jeroszko and her siblings Ida Sporecki, Helen Palasik, Charlotte Antalek, Walter Marchewka and Peter Marchewka. She is survived by her son Richard L. Jeroszko and his wife Linda; granddaughter Adrienne L. (Jeroszko) Kleiber and her husband Eric and two great granddaughters Rebecca E. and Elizabeth J. Kleiber. Multiple nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. Funeral services for Clara will take place on Saturday November 29, 2014 at 2pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville. Relatives and friends may call prior to the service from 1-2pm. Inurnment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery, at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
