Obituary of Charlotte Koby

Charlotte C. Koby Glenville Charlotte C. Koby, 86, of Glenville, passed away peacefully at her home December 1, 2014. Born in Amsterdam, NY on November 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Litynski. Charlotte was a 1946 graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School. She moved to Glenville in 1950 with her husband, Raymond Koby to raise a family. Charlotte and Raymond were married 64 years until his death in May 2014. Charlotte was known for her baked goods, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies and Congo Bars! She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and a member of its Rosary Society. Survivors include her two sons, Mark D. Koby (Christine) and their children, Chloe and Olivia Hopkins of Glenville and Michael J. Koby (Rita) and their children, Nathan and Josh Koby of Smithville, TN; one brother, Ray Litynski and his wife, Connie of Binghamton, NY. She is survived also by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 231 Second St., Scotia with the Rev. Joseph Busch, officiant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the Mass. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Steadwell Avenue, Amsterdam.
