Obituary of Mary Gotzmer

Mary H. Gotzmer, 83, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2014 at Ellis hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she was the daughter of the late Axel and Mary Hornos. Mary was a long-time resident of Pittsford, New York and for the past ten years resided in Niskayuna. Mary had a great (though unique) sense of humor, a special love for all animals great and small, and appreciated and loved everything life had to offer. She enjoyed music, art, nature, family celebrations, and had a passion for traveling--from a car ride across state to a return to her homeland. Mary was also a proud long-time member of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Schenectady.Mary is survived by her children Richard Gotzmer, Nancy Hardy, Donna Flagg and Pamela Gotzmer. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Her brother Serge (Barbara) Hornos also survives. Funeral services will be private.
