Obituary of Susan Lee

Susan Lee, 54, of Schenectady passed away December 2, 2012 at Albany Medical Center . Susan was born in NYC on August 31, 1958, graduating public high school then secretarial college. Susan offered her motherly touch in raising many children through foster care since 1992 at her home in Brooklyn. She and her husband moved to the Capital Region in 1994 and most recently to Schenectady. She is remembered as a loving person and one to encourage her nieces and nephews to attain an education. She is also remembered as "Captain of the ship" and always at the helm of matters pertaining to her family. Susan had an affinity for chocolate and balloons of all types. She was very proud of her Brooklyn roots. Susan was predeceased by her parents Milton and Florence Clarke Workman as well as her siblings, Stephen, Robert, Joseph, and Patricia Workman. Survivors include her beloved husband of 34 years, James Lee, son James Lee Jr. and daughter Mildred Inma and her husband Phakawatt. Susan is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Brian Schulman of Long Island, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Linda Workman of W. Palm Beach, FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 6 from 6-8 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. All are invited to attend. Committal services will be held Friday, December 7, at 1 PM at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Flushing NY. In lieu of flowers, the Family suggests donations be made in Susan's name to the American Red Cross 33 Everett Rd. Albany, NY 12205. Balloons and the color blue were Sue's favorites, so please…wear something blue to the funeral home or send a balloon!
