Obituary of Sean Hickey

Sean F. Hickey, 43, of Saratoga Rd. passed away at Ellis Hospital unexpectedly on December 30, 2014. Born in Spencer, NY on September 21, 1971, he was the beloved son of Fred and Judy (Palmer) Hickey of Glenville. Sean attended elementary school in Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central Schools District. He graduated from Horseheads Central High School in 1990 while living in Big Flats, NY. Sean worked for 20 years at Cavoli Grinding in Schenectady. He was a valued technician at keeping cutlery sharp as a tack. His hobbies were listening to music, hunting, fishing and just being around friends and family. He was of the Catholic Faith. He is survived by his parents Fred and Judy Hickey of Glenville; two brothers, Alan S. Hickey and his wife Jennifer of Burnt Hills and Michael K. Hickey and his wife Kristin of Glenville. Also surviving are his beloved nieces McKenna and Ashlyn and nephew Nolan. A funeral service will begin on Monday, January 5th at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. with the Rev. Leo Markert officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call Monday from 9 AM to the time of the service. Interment St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenridge Rd.
