Obituary of Jason Diemer
Jason Alan Diemer, 42, of Schenectady, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 12, 2015.
Jason was the loving son of Toni-Ann and Alan Diemer. He was a life long resident of Schenectady.
A graduate of Linton High School, he was employed at Pathways Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and also previously worked as a chef at many area restaurants including El Divinos, The Lighthouse, and the Turf Tavern. Jason was an avid golfer and was a regular at Schenectady's Municipal Golf Course.
A die hard Yankee and Chicago Bears fan, he also had a passion for photography with his long time companion, Michelle, as well as gardening and music- especially the "Grateful Dead." Jason enjoyed being around friends and family but his culinary skills also took him to many other areas of the country, including Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Glacier National Park in Montana.
Jason is predeceased by his paternal grandfather Frederick Diemer; maternal grandparents Armand and Pauline (Sacco) Reveglia and his sister, Angel Paulette Diemer.
Survivors include companion Michelle McNeal of Schenectady; his mother, Toni Ann Diemer of Schenectady, his father and step-mother, Alan and Patti Diemer of Glenville, and his paternal grandmother Theresa Diemer of Glenville. Also survived by, brothers Christopher (Laura) of Reading, MA and Kevin (Ciara Covey) of Albany, NY; loving sisters, Alisha (Joseph) Russo of Glenville, and Kathleen Diemer of Rexford; nieces and nephews Adam, Alex, Grady, Mazzy, Benjamin, Stella and Maxwell; his Aunt Patricia Reveglia of Rotterdam, and Uncle Thomas (Patricia) of Schenectady; as well as, the love of his life, "Sweet" Bella and beloved pet, Jeter.
Viewing hours for family and friends will be held Sunday, January 18 from 4-7 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19 at 9:00 am at St. Luke's Church, State St. Schenectady. Rev. Dominic Isopo will officiate the mass. Interment will be at St. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Duanesburg Rd., Rotterdam, NY. Online condolences may be expressed to the Diemer family at www.glenvillefuneralhome.com.
