So sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Joyce and working with her at SCCC. She was so nice to me and very respectful of everyone she came in contact with. Early on we had a truly great group of employees and I cherish those days. I was the youngest of the group and was very sad as they all retired and sadly many have passed. She was a wonderful person. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Sincere sympathy to Sharon and Michael and their families and to Doug's widow whom Joyce cared for deeply. The newspaper obituary captured a great deal of your mother's essence...the generosity of her volunteer service and love of family and the outdoors especially. It would take reams to add her bright mind, empathy, spontaneous acts of generosity, her many talents, including artistic and photographic talents. Especially in her early days (when we all 'had nothing' materially) Joyce exemplified the definition of 'class' where one does extraordinary things with the resources one has, looking for opportunity to elevate oneself, ones friends and family and to give to the community. For many years I feel as if Joyce's many medical and health issues have impacted her but even then she tried to find the best ways to improve her situation....being handed some significant challenges. I am sure you always felt she was there for you, and Sharon, being near both physically and emotionally, you were there for her in an extraordinary way. Having gone through 4 months of similar and intense challenge with Jeff I acknowledge your faithfulness. If I cannot be at the service it is due to bronchitis and the worst bout of asthma to date along with the predicted subzero weather. We will surely make donations in her memory and we all send you a deep desire for your peace as she now has it.
