Virginia R. Wescott, "Ginny", 73, of Glenville, died peacefully on January 28, 2015 at home with her family at her side. Born in Jamaica, Queens, she was the loving daughter of the late Matthew and Doris Heinhorse Dzienius. She married Robert K. Wescott on August 28, 1972. Ginny retired from New York State Tax and Finance in Albany. She was predeceased by her husbands, Peter Muesser and Robert Wescott. Ginny enjoyed connecting with others through the internet. She played various games with people all over the world. She enjoyed playing "Bongo" at the Racino, taking trips to Vegas and exploring the sites of the Grand Canyon with her companion of eight plus years, Richard Vincent. Survivors include her sons, Richard Westcott (Dr. Heidi Godoy) of Albany and Jeffrey Wescott of Preston Hollow; daughters, Kelly Wescott of Rensselaer and Linda Wood (Dennis) of Preston Hollow; grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Wood and Harper Wescott. She leaves her beloved brothers, Robert (Adele), Anthony (Laurie), Matthew (Peggy) and Paul (Jackie) Dzienius; and her sister, Linda Dzienius. Calling hours will be held today, January 30, from 6-8 p.m., at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, East Glenville. Interment will be private at the Gerald B.H. National Veteran's Cemetery, Schuylerville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Cancer Center, 315 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208. Virginia "Ginna" Wescott was known by many as Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Godmother, Friend, and most important of all a loving Wife, Mother, and Nanny (Grandmother). Her memory will be forever with us, we will remember her telling us how she loved racing cars in Colorado and of her travels to Las Vegas and most recently to Puerto Rico to attend her son's wedding. For us, her children, she will be remembered for always making sure that we got to practice/ games on time, for making sure we got home before the street lights came on and always seeming to know exactly what we were up to and making sure that we kept on the right path. Our lives were filled with our time with her at family gatherings, annual camping trips with our entire extended family, and Sunday dinners. She was most excited of her role as Nanny to her two Grandsons and Granddaughter, having them in her arms brought her the greatest joy. We are and will forever be blessed to call her our Mom.
