Obituary of Leatrice Pinel

Leatrice O. Pinel, of Glenville, New York, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2015, after a lengthy battle with chronic pulmonary disorder. She was born in 1926 to Marie (Hakes) and Spencer J. Olney of Syracuse, New York. She attended Syracuse High School, and later, Cornell University, where she was a classic-language major. She dedicated her life to caring for her husband and children and late in life, pursed a vocation selling residential real estate. She is predeceased by her sister Dorothea Beard of Syracuse, New York, and her eldest son, John S. Pinel, of Ballston Spa, New York. She is survived by the love of her life, Edgar L. Pinel, Jr., her husband of 63 years, and three children, Ellen Pinel Barnes, of Palm Desert, California, Stephen L. Pinel, East Windsor, New Jersey, and James S. Pinel, West Warwick, Rhode Island. She also has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada, Palm Springs, California, and Twin Lake Village in New London, New Hampshire. She loved playing cards with family and friends and was an expert at crossword puzzles. Private inurnment will be held for the family at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
