Obituary of Salvatore Benedetto

Salvatore A. Benedetto, 67, passed away suddenly at Ellis Hospital on February 23, 2015 Sal was born in the Bronx, NY , the son of the late Anthony and Margaret Christiano Benedetto . He was a graduate of the Manhattan Technical High School. Sal worked for the US postal service in the Bronx for 35 years retiring from the Co-Op City post office. Sal married Marilyn S. Gonzalez in 1987 and they moved to Scotia in 2005. Sal had a wonderful personality making everyone he met laugh and feel happy regardless of how their day was going. Sal is survived by his wife Marilyn; his son Anthony, and daughter Carolyn Napolitano and her husband Michael; his grand daughter Alexandra; his brother Frank Benedetto and his husband Bob Streifer. A celebration of Sal's life will begin at 7 pm on Thursday February 26, 2015 at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. East Glenville . Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home from 5-7 pm prior to the service . Memorial contributions in name are requested to be made to the American Heart Association.
