Obituary of Joseph Bianco

Schenectady - Joseph Michael Bianco, 59, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 28th at Ellis Hospital. He was a life-long diabetic. Born February 17, 1956 in Schenectady to Philip and Genny Bianco (deceased), Joe was a life-long resident of Schenectady. At the time of his death, Joe had been a Caseworker for the Schenectady County DSS-Long Term Care Unit for many years. He loved his family, so many friends, and Prince, his horse of 30 years. He loved a simple life, was humble, caring and giving. Joe graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in l974, attended Siena and Russell Sage Colleges. He was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, serving as a Festa Chair for many years and President of their Men's Society; and, active participant at the After Hours Barn in Clifton Park. Joe loved Rhode Island, spending much time there. Survivors include sisters Maggie Hull (Bill), their children Billy and Jenny, of Charlton; Michele Koester (Jeff), their boys Michael and Nicholas, of Glenville; many loving cousins and so many friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at the Glenville Funeral Home 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville, NY. Funeral services will begin at 9 am on Wednesday March 4 from the funeral home and be followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial from Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant Street, Schenectady. Interment will be next to his parents in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brandywine Ave., Schenectady.
