Obituary of Judith Gough

Rexford, NY  Judith W Gough, 74, formerly of Charlton, passed away at St. Peter's  Hospice Inn  in Albany on Sunday, December  9th 2012, surrounded by family. Born in Keene, New Hampshire Judith was the daughter of the late John A. and Louise Chapman Whitehead.  She grew up in Duxbury, Massachusetts where she was a graduate of Westbrook Jr. College. Judy was employed at Mass General Hospital in Boston before starting a family in Schenectady. She was an active volunteer in her community.  She loved animals, music, and spending time with family and friends.  Judy was a long time member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glenville, NY. She also worked at Schenectady Federal Savings Bank for several years before her retirement.  She enjoyed traveling throughout the country in retirement with her beloved John and their dog, Charlie. She was predeceased by her husband in 2011. Most recently, Judy participated in the many activities of Coburg Village in Rexford. She will be missed greatly, and is survived by… Two sons, Robert Gough and his wife, Maureen of Schenectady, Kenneth Gough and his wife, Geralyn of Wellsville, NY; two daughters, Sharon Salvi and her husband, John of Stillwater, NY and Marcia Ewing and her husband, Jeffrey of Burnt Hills, NY. She is survived by her beloved sister Elaine Dobrydnio of Scarsdale, NY and brother, John Whitehead of Falmouth, MA.; her cherished grandchildren: Brandon Salvi, Dana Gough, Grace Ewing, Carlianna Ewing, John Salvi III, Traci and Michael Salvi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14, at 10 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 547 Saratoga Rd. Glenville with Rev. Deron Milleville, officiating.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd.
