Obituary of Eugene Zampella

Eugene Frank Zampella, 66, of Harvest Drive, Hickory, NC, formerly of Schenectady, passed away March 21, 2015. Born and raised in Schenectady, he was the son of the late John and Mary Monda Zampella. Eugene resided on Anthony St. until moving to N.C. in October 2014. Eugene was a printer at Capital Printing for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his lifetime. Gene was a member of the Guan Ho-Ha Club in Glenville and a longtime member of the Brace Brook Hunting Club. He was of the Catholic Faith. He was predeceased also by his brother, John Zampella.Survivors include his best friend and companion, Gretchen Bradley of Hickory, NC, and his sister, Elaine Mauro of Surprise, AZ; several beloved nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to funeral services which will be held Thursday, March 26th at 11AM from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville, followed by a procession to Memory Gardens Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service at Glenville Funeral Home from 9 AM to 11 AM.
