Obituary of George Mills

George R. Mills Jr, 84, passed away at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home on May 7, 2015 George was born in Callicoon, NY, the son of the late George R. and Phyllis Landers Mills Sr. He served in the Army and upon honorable discharge, went to Union College and Albany Law School, obtaining his jurisprudence degree. Subsequently, he practiced law in the Scotia area and served proudly as the Glenville Town Attorney. George enjoyed spending time surrounded by nature, particularly in Highland Lake, NY where he had many fond memories with friends and family. George is survived by his son Michael R. Mills (Leslie); his step daughters Linda Mills Oliver, Theresa Morris (Richard Arnold) and Abbey Mills Lawless; his grandchildren: Alaina and Sarah Mills; and his brother Charles Mills (Grace). Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family from 5 to 7 pm on Monday May 11, 2015 at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd, East Glenville, NY. Burial will be held privately. Memorial contributions in George's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
