Obituary of Libero Manzone

Libero "Lee" Manzone, 96, with family at his side, passed away at Ellis Hospital on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Lee was born in Waterbury, Ct., the son of the late Eugene and Orsola (Morello) Manzone. In 1948, Lee married Antoinette Gandini in NYC and thereafter they became a loving and devoted couple, Antoinette being the love of his life. He worked as a butcher in Manhattan, was a policeman in Ridgefield, NJ, and subsequently was a foreman for the Ridgefield Department of Public Works and retired in 1984. Lee was a member of the Tenafly, NJ BPOE in which he participated in all the offices and then became a Northeast Region District Deputy. He was an avid deep sea fisherman. Time spent with family was very important to Lee, loving all equally his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lee is survived by his beloved Antoinette; his devoted daughter, Yolanda (Fernando) Robleno; his cherished grandchildren: Fernando (Kristie) Robleno and Michael (Jennie) Robleno; his cherished great grandchildren: Cassidy, Cayden, Derek, Corabella, and Michael Robleno; a sister, Libera Francola ; and a nephew Raymond Bonino. At 11:45 am,on Saturday, June 20, 2015, a Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 231 Second St. Scotia, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, June 19 from 6 to 8pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. Entombment will take place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery Troy - Schenectady, Rd. Schenectady, NY. Lee's family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Judson Meadows as well as the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Lee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lee's name may be made to the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center, 291 No. Ballston Ave. Scotia, NY
