Obituary of Mary Weekes

Ballston Lake - Mary K. Weekes (nee: Lange), 63, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2015 after a long fight with breast cancer. She passed at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady where she was surrounded by those who love her. Through it all, Mary retained her disarming sense of humor. A life-long resident of the area, she was born on July 19, 1951 to the late Richard and Catherine Lange (nee: Barlette). She worked at GE Broadcasting for ten years and wed her husband, James D Weekes III on October 11, 1970. Nine years later they started a family into which she poured her heart and soul. Beside her husband, Mary is survived by a brother Richard, sister-in-law Ava; three sons: Jason, Justin and Joseph; daughter-in-law Thenjiwe; grandson Giuseppe; and the beloved Cus. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1st at 1 p.m. in the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road., Glenville, followed by internment. Viewing hours will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30th.
