Obituary of Vivian Cooper

Vivian Houghton Cooper, 92, of Ballston Lake died peacefully on July 10, 2015 at her home with family at her side. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Alvin and Dora Houghton and the wife of the late Allan H. Cooper. Vivian was a nursing graduate of Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC. She worked at Ellis Hospital, in private duty and lastly for Living Resources until her retirement after many faithful years. Vivian was a member of the East Glenville Community Church where she sang in the choir and served in various ministries for more than 60 years. She also sang in the Octavos in the 1960's. Vivian was devoted to her family and loved taking family vacations. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son Allan H. Copper Jr, and her sister Evelyn A. Kopper. She is survived by her children Jean V. (Elwood) Hunsicker, Diane K. (Theodore) Holzmann and Bruce G. (Perline) Cooper as well as 8 Grand children, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a niece Patricia E. Kopper. Calling hours for Vivian will be held on Friday July 17, 2015 from 6-8pm at the East Glenville Community Church, 335 Saratoga Rd, Glenville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 18 at 10am at the church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd. Albany. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the East Glenville Community Church, 335 Saratoga Road Glenville, NY 12302.
