Obituary of Jean Niehaus

Jean Burt Niehaus, 90, passed away on Friday July 31, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center in Delmar. Born in Mounds, Oklahoma she was the daughter of the late Everett and Emma Line Burt. Jean married her late husband Elmer on May 27, 1951. She was a very faithful women who enjoyed spending time with her family and quilting. Jean was a longtime resident of Glenville. She was a member of the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer H. Niehaus in 1996, her sister Mary Frances Helpingstine and her brother - in - law Tony Helpingstine. She is survived by her son Eric Niehaus and his wife Cathleen, grandchildren Carolyn, Kevin, Kyle and Craig Niehaus. Jean is also survived by her niece Bettye Hubbard and nephews Everett and Mark Helpingstine. Calling hours for Jean will be held on Monday August 3, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. Funeral services will be on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
