Aimee Falcon

Obituary of Aimee Falcon

Aimee Lynn Falcon, 34, passed away suddenly on September 14, 2015 after a long medical battle involving many hospitalizations. She was at home, with her loving family and treasured pets at her side. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Allan and LouAnn (McCullough) Falcon. She was an extremely courageous woman who bravely fought various health issues resulting from a severe immune deficiency. Aimee graduated from Scotia Glenville High School and went on to attend the University of Vermont, graduating with a BS in Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology. Aimee worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Brown University in Providence, RI and also at Schenectady Regional Orthopedics/ Ballston Lake High School. She was a former medical support staff for the NWHL Quebec Avalanche Women's Professional Ice Hockey franchise. She was an extreme athlete in any sport in which she chose to compete, and there were many. Aimee was a very active cyclist, enjoyed kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, playing softball, volleyball and ice hockey. She loved sports and competing, and loved helping other athletes stay healthy so they could continue competing as well. Aimee also enjoyed being outside in nature, camping and photography. Her love for helping athletes spilled over into her love for helping animals. She had volunteered with the G.I.V.E. Program. She had decided her future life plans would be to help disabled animals with mobility and rehab. Overall, Aimee will be remembered for her ultimate love and passion for helping both people and animals be the best that they could be. She was a very loving and gifted person who, in spite of all her own difficult challenges, always found a way to give her own love and support to countless others so they may have a better life. Aimee was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Louise McCullough Flint and her paternal grandparents Maurice Falcon and Betty Falcon Beran. She is survived by her parents Allan and LouAnn Falcon, her brother Sean Falcon, her maternal grandfather John Flint and her paternal step-grandfather Stanley Beran. Many loving close knit aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Aimee's family would like to thank all of her friends and family who had helped support her in her long medical fight, fueling her strength and courage every day.
