Obituary of William D. Berkowitz

Dateline: Niskayuna William D. Berkowitz, 73, passed away on November 4, 2015 after a brief illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Abraham and Louise Berkowitz. William married his loving wife Maureen Klotz on September 2, 1982. William worked many years as a Social Service Examiner for D. S. S. and for the past ten years at Randy’s Auto Quest as a driver. William enjoyed playing numbers and will be remembered for always having a joke to tell and his easy going personality. William is survived by his wife Maureen (Klotz) Berkowitz, several sisters, brother-in-laws and cherished nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 6-8pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. Thursday, ( Nov. 12) relatives and friends will gather at 8:45 am from the Glenville Funeral Home central parking area for a procession to Solomon (Saratoga) National Cemetery. Committal services with honors 10 am. Memorial contributions in William's name may be made to the Aqueduct Animal Aide Fund, 2721 Balltown Road Niskayuna, NY 12309.
