Obituary of Mark A. Nestor

Schenectady/Davie, FL – Mark A. Nestor, 72, after a long illness, passed away at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Mark was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Edwin and Mary Nestor. He was a graduate of Linton H. S. Subsequently Mark enlisted in the U.S. Navy out of Newport, R.I. with active duty in the Mediterranean. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Mark married Sonia Patricia Willoughby in Schenectady. They maintained their home in Schenectady until the time of her passing in 1998. Mark was a machinist for GE in Schenectady until his retirement in 1999 and then moved to Florida. Mark is survived by his wife Arlene; daughters: Leslie Nestor, Jill Nestor, and Amy Derwin (Steve), brothers: Peter (Elizabeth), Patrick (Lori), Michael, the late Thomas Nestor (Kathy), and sister Maryann Nestor. Four grandchildren: Ian and Alexander Engel, Jeff and Ivy Derwin, sisters-in-law: Enid Diamante and Anne Wieber as well as several nieces and nephews also survive. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of memorial contributions, Mark would request that he be remembered by your enjoying dinner with your family.
