Denise was a dear friend of mine for many years. I went to school with her sister Debra and frequently visited her home when I was a child. I loved her Mom, and tolerated her brothers (who seemed to seldom miss an oppurtunity to tease). She joined my family on a two week trip to Northern Wisconsin for our family reunion. When I was a freshman in High School she told me about Jesus Christ. I didn't really understand the gospel at that time, but I was somewhat intrigued by it. I also enjoyed talking to Denise because I felt like she cared. After a very difficult year and a half in my life, I attended a prayer meeting at Delaney Hall in Albany. There were about 500 people there. I kept watching the them mingling before the meeting began, and all I could think of was these people seemed to really love each other. Then I spotted Denise. I went to her to say "Hi' and she seemed genuinely glad to see me. The meeting began with the song "I am the Resurrection, and the Life; he who believes in Me will never die. I am the Resurrection, and the Life; he who believes in Me will live a new life. I have come to bring the truth. I have come to bring new life. If you believe, then you shall live!" At that moment, what Denise had been trying to tell me became a reality in my life. I repented of my sin and believed the Gospel! I met Jesus Christ and was born again! From that moment my life changed! I stopped drinking, and doing drugs. I began reading my Bible and getting to know this Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ! I also began attending prayer meetings at Denise's home, held by her Mom. Over the years, I went on to become a nurse; I also married, and became a Mom. I am now living in North Carolina with my husband of nearly 32 years. We have 9 children, 6 of whom are adopted, with our first grandchild on the way. Denise was part of the Lord's plan for saving me and as such I believe she will be rewarded. I am grateful to have known her and I feel grieved at her passing. However, I still treasure her friendship, and as my sister in Christ, I know that I will see her again in the not too distant future. I rejoice that she finished well!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the May family in the passing of Denise. Denise lived her life serving the Lord she loved. Her countenance reflected the love of Jesus in her. May God comfort your hearts and may you have his peace in your hearts knowing she is with her Lord and Saviour; and we will meet again one day!

Where do I begin with the memories and blessings of my sister Denise? She would always be there to lift you up spiritually when you were down. Sometimes she would spend hours in prayer and fasting just to have a closer walk with the Lord. This was evident on many occasions when she would pray with an elderly person and they would just keep thanking her. She would light up their lives as she did with everyone she met. She had that constant glow of God's love, I feel truly blessed to have experienced it! So many times I would call her to pray with me, and you could always feel the burden lifted. Her greatest asset was her Spiritual Wisdom. Her life was totally dedicated to the Lord and her service to Him. Now she enters Heaven with a rightousness I can only hope to have a fraction of.
Denise had a comic side to her as with most of us Mays. She used to go into an old lady impersonation, with lips tucked, eyebrows furled, hunched over calling everyone sonny. It would especially get my mother laughing so hard she would run to the bathroom. She had this "I Love Lucy" comic way about her. For her 50th birthday I made her a video of her face photoshopped over Lucy's and you almost couldn't tell the difference. She laughed right along with us.
She was also artsy crafty. She would make beautiful silk flower arrangements and Christmas center pieces. She would spend hours with her neices and nephews finger painting or creating master pieces second only to Michelangelo's work.
Denise's singing voice was one that was Heaven on earth. When I would listen to her sing, the angelic vibrations would permiate your whole being. The hairs on the back of your neck would stand in unison as to be also singing God's praises. Her singing at my son's wedding was a special gift to all who attended. What a way to begin a marraige!
I will miss my sister in so many ways as will all who have met her. I guess the choir in Heaven needed her more than we did.
I love you Denise,
Darren

Forever in the Hall of Fame within Our Hearts
We had just moved to Delaware and planning to attend the Bible School at Victory Christian Fellowship. God had made a sudden provision for our family to live in this nice huge townhouse with enough rooms for all, including a guest room prepared for whomever the Lord sent us.
Newly arrived as we were, keenly aware of all whom we were meeting of this church family, my path crossed with Denise. She radiated with the love of the Jesus. We immediately felt a kinship and so I asked her "Do you need a place to stay?" That began our year of personal relationship with her as a part of our family. She was like an Aunt to my children: Jason, Joel, and Anna. She became to me one of my most treasured friends that has lasted through many ups and down to span over about 15 plus years.
We laughed and we cried together. Ministered together wherever we happened to be together. She shared our passion and love of the Lord to reach all people with the message of "Jesus Loves You this I know for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus Loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so." From Delaware she moved back to New York and we migrated to my husband's home State of Iowa. I'm sure that she and I could write books about our lives and the people our lives have touched and those that have touched us too. We talked about the possibilities for the future. Shared our dreams and vision for the work we hoped to accomplish in the earth, Lord willing that He should tarry, we would tarry too and never give up. We prayed for one another's families, as we both love our families dearly. I talked about coming to Scotia and she of coming to Iowa. We plan our way and trust God all the rest of the way and I'm trusting Him even today as I write this love letter to you all, her precious family.
The only picture that I have of Denise remains on display always and where ever we happen to live and breath and have our being in Him. It sits on the mantle of all the testimonial books in our collection of Heroes of Our Faith. It's a picture that depicts so well her spontaneous humor and facial expressions that just make you LAUGH out loud! She had those "I love Lucy" kinda moments that we all remember and puts a smile on our faces.
Surely she has seen Heaven by now. Surely she has seen the Great Cloud of Witnesses and her Momma in Heaven. Somehow I sense her presence with us all. Praying for His Peace and Comfort that passes all our human understanding to be with each and every one of you who love her dearly too. Praise God that she will be Forever in Our Hearts. Amen.
We love you dearest Denise, one of God's gifted treasures brought into the lives of all The Lydon Family".

In closing, Denise and I have prayed together for all of these my children and the fruit of all those prayers is to be seen TODAY!
There is power in prayer. Power in what you agree about. The Word will not return void, but accomplish that which God desires. We believe and continue to pray and believe God's Word no matter what we see. Hebrews 11:1 and Romans 8:28 come to mind at this moment. I pray that your faith remain as you read the testimonies of my children. I am oh so thankful for the faithful friendship of Denise over these many many years. God bless each and every one of you to know Him more. Amen.

My best times and memories I have spent with Denise were in our ministry travels together. Visiting churches and watching as she ministered to others. She was always in the best of Spirit in any circumstance and knew how to allow Jesus in her to touch the hearts of others through her singing and preaching, teaching and praying. She was truly a woman born out of time. She entered this world from eternity and gave her all to the call of God. I have seen her love people out of their sorrow and affliction, and watch them be transformed and made free by the word she carried. Many were healed and hope was restored. She was a selfless person always putting the wellbeing of others ahead of her own need. Denise knew how to abound and how to be abased, she adapted in any climate and carried the glory of God everywhere without shame. I found her greatest joy was in celebrating Jesus. She had a psalm, a hymn and a spiritual song in her heart and was always ready to share it with anyone who would listen. Our trips to Florida and the Miracle Institute were the greatest events, as we studied the Word of God together and spent time in the anointing I saw Denise in her element and fully satisfied. To Denise's precious family, I know she loved you dearly and always prayed for each of you fervently. Thank you for sharing her with me, I will ever be grateful to God for her life and her unusual ability to make us laugh and enjoy life with her. We were great friends and understood each other. Should she remain beyond the veil, in the land of the living and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, I will rejoice and know we will meet again. Your dear friend Linda Jeroszko.

My Sincere Sympathy to not only the May Family, but to all had the honor of knowing Denise. I learned so much about our God, from our friendship and watching the selfless way she conducted her life. I will miss her more than words could ever say. To me she was an angel here on earth, a beautiful expression of the love, power and sensitivity of God's heart to the people she shared and impacted life with. Earth's loss is heaven's gain.

We remember Denise as a vibrant, fun, full of life lady. She always greeted us with a smile and a hug. One couldn't help but be happy when she was present. We greatly appreciate all her help over the years taking care of Grandma and Dad. They are not easy people to love but she was always there for them. We are also grateful for her friendship and time she spent with Mom. Denise said she saw many times when Mom was at her best when they were together. We thank her for that! We love her always and will miss her, but we take comfort knowing that she is with God where she belongs.
