To Michael and Debra,Steve and Cathy and families.
It was a great shock to all of us to learn of the passing of Michael J.
a great man, wonderfull father, father in law, grandfather, uncle and very dear cousin.
Nick and I express our Deepest Sympathy to all of you for such a great loss.
Our prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
Nick and I spoke to him 10 days before, we can still hear his voice in our ears when he said you were all spending Christmas at his place, we asked if we could Skype and he said his computer was not working properly (the boys will fix it for me when they come for Chrismas) he was very proud of you.
Even though we have only known him for a short time, we feel that we have known him all our life, we cherish the time we spend toghether, especially that day when he and Dick took us to Lake Placid, at at one particular spot near a river, we stopped to take some photoes, and suddenly he said to us
( aspetta nu poco) meaning (wait a little) , and ran to get in the picture with us, it must have taken him back to his childhood, when he could speak some Italian, to show us that he was very proud of his background.
We have only spend a couple of days with all you guys, but is much better than nothing at all, the seed has been planted, and the relationship will continue always.
You will know that you have a family in Australia who is ready to welcome you with open arms.
Keep in touch.
Lots of love from Nick Angela Larry Rocky and David and families.

I treasure the time I spent visiting with Mike at the Empire State Aerosciences Museum. His smile and gentle manner of speaking were always a bright part of my time there. His photography from the Malta rocket projects is a valuable historical record at the museum-- and sometimes Mike took great risk in setting up his equipment. He was always so excited to visit his son in Chicago or to go out west - - I'll remember him as one of the most pleasant people I've ever met.
