Obituary of Raymond W. Homic

Dateline: Glenville Raymond W. Homic, 85, of Glenville, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2016 . Born in Schenectady on November 16, 1930, he was the son of the late Walter and Veronica Homic, and brother of the late Robert W. Homic. Ray was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. After graduation, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Ray retired from a successful career in retail after 39 years. Upon retirement, Ray became the Starter/Ranger at the Stadium Golf Club. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Leona (Lee), his son, Michael J. Homic (Maria) of Edmond, OK; his daughter, Kathleen Rogan (Robert) of Kingston, NY; and his cherished grandchildren, Donna Ray and Travis Rogan, Marta "Liz" Homic, as well as his many caring and loving nieces and nephews, who were very much a part of his life. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 15, 2016, at 10 AM with Rev. Jerry Gingras officiating at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd., (Rte 50), Glenville. Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery.
