Obituary of Margaret Kehoe

Margaret Mary Kehoe," Peggy", 65, passed away at her home January 4, 2013 with her family by her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 11, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Gordon K. and Loretta Becker Cichacki. Peggy grew up in Schenectady and lived in Rotterdam prior to moving to Glenville in 1971. Her beloved husband, John M. Kehoe Sr., passed away in 1989. For 18 years Peggy was a stay at home mom. Following the death of John, she returned to the work force as an associate for Murdoch Abstract, in the title insurance department. She maintained a full time position while managing the upkeep and maintenance of her home, raising her children with the utmost love and affection. Upon her early retirement she once again became a stay at home Nanna to her two grandchildren, Kyle and Cassidy, the light of her life. Peggy enjoyed listening to 50s music and was an avid reader. Her family was the most important part of her life. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Eddy Senior Care and especially to Aimee Reffitt. Peggy was also predeceased by her brother, John (Chase). Survivors include her son, John M. Kehoe Jr. (Michelle) of Glenville; and daughter, Kelly Staalesen (Robert) of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Kyle and Cassidy Staalesen; mother-in-law, Edna Kehoe of Rotterdam; brothers, Richard Chase of Schenectady and Kevin (Linda) Chase of Charlton; sister, Diane Wachunas of Ballston Spa; cherished aunts, Beverly and Genevieve Becker and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Saratoga Rd., Glenville with the Rev. Jerome Gingras officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited. Private interment at the convenience of the family at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peggy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
