Helen McCullough

Obituary of Helen McCullough

Our dear, sweet Helen McCullough of West Glenville died at the magnificent age of 94 on February 11th. Helen enjoyed her life in the village. She treasured her friends and never had an unkind word to say against anyone. She was a gentle spirit who loved to read, plant flowers, paint and take rides to Vermont. Helen enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of birds. The dice game, For Get It, was one she loved to play. She was an avid Quiddler player, as well. Her expansive vocabulary, which was attributed to her love of reading, made her a challenging opponent. She loved to win, but would tell you it was fun just to play. Yard sales were a fun adventure for her. She was a devoted collector of Bi-centennial quarters. Helen never missed an opportunity to enjoy dessert. Special thanks are meant for her minister, Reverend Faulkner, who offered her comfort. Great appreciation is given to her friend Monica Mills, who gave her love, friendship and support through the years. Helen, who always awoke early in the morning, died in the early morning light in the love of family at her granddaughter’s home. We will keep beautiful memories of Helen with us and she will be missed. At the family’s request, services will be private. Online condolences may be made at glenvillefuneralhome.com
