Obituary of Christopher D. Pomato

Christopher D. Pomato, 54, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of Anthony and Judith Pomato. Following graduation from Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake High School, Christopher became a truck driver for several area transportation companies. He was a transporter for B&D Automotive and was most recently employed by Frank Murken Products in Schenectady as a warehouse shipping clerk. On September 13, 1996 Christopher married his loving wife Jody (Golden) Pomato. Christopher was an avid outdoorsman, spending lots of time in the Adirondacks, which earned him the nickname of the “Adirondack Hermit”. He loved boating and kayaking and was a member of the Schenectady Yacht Club. Christopher is survived by his parents, Dr. Anthony and Judith Pomato, his wife Jody Pomato, children Teresa Bachus , Gerry (Tim) Kile and Steven Poe. Grandchildren Courtney, Christopher, Connor, Alexis, Ryan and Joshua. Great Grandchildren Jessie, Jocelyn and Aria. His grandmother Mary Pomato, his brother Peter (Tina) Pomato, mother-in-law Gerry Golden and his canine companion Bear. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. Calling hours for Christopher will be held on Sunday April 17, 2016 from 5-7pmat the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. A funeral service will follow at 7pm at the funeral home.
