Obituary of Eivion L. Williams

Eivion L. Williams, 72. Passed away in the arms of his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on Sunday April 17, 2016 at Ellis Hospital. Eivion was born in Albany, the son of Eivion W. and Dellamae Williams. He graduated from Colonie Central. He married Mariana Villasenor in 1965. Eivion was president of Mohawk Trailer Supply and after he sold the company he became the director of The Schenectady City Mission. He then went on to become Development Director of Mekeel Christian Academy and from there the Director of Alpha Pregnancy Care Center in Albany. Eivion was a member of Clifton Park Community Church where he was a deacon. He was also a member of the Edison Club. He enjoyed golfing and fishing with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Nan and his children Eivion Sean (Lavina), of Clifton Park, Erin Williams (Michael) Durant of Tampa. Eivion felt that he was blessed with his 4 grandsons, Eivion Connor, Braedon Parker, Hunter Lee and Garrett Michael. He leaves behind his brothers Kevan (Joan) of Saratoga, Keith (Renee) of Aplachin and his sister Gayle (John) McDonald of Binghamton and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Rexford on Friday April 22, with Rev David Bissett officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family at the church from 10AM to 12 Noon and the service is at 12 N. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eivion’s name to Alpha Pregnancy Care Center, 518 Clinton Avenue, Albany, NY 12206. Online condolences can be made at glenvillefuneralhome.com
