Dr. Pacelli was my student teaching advisor way back in 1972 when I student taught at Shenendehowa. He was this wonderful avuncular mix of mentor, ally, objective observer and friend. I will always remember him fondly for his encouragement, support and good humor. He made me a better teacher, certainly a more confident one. At that time neither of us could have predicted that years later I would be teaching three of his grandchildren in Greenwich, and that one of them, Bailey, would become a colleague as well. He will be missed, but weren't we all lucky to have known him!
