Obituary of Rose Legorius

Rose "Nellie" Legorius, 94, of Glenville, entered the house of the Lord on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she worked in Manhattan's garment district. Rose moved to Schenectady employed by the Carl Company as a seamstress for many years. She loved cooking, sewing and traveling. Her greatest joy however was being surrounded by her adoring family. Rose was predeceased by her parents, John and Jenny Tossolino of Sicily, Italy. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Jerry Legorius; her loving daughters, Joan (Richard) Duell of Ballston Lake and Beth (Peter "Mickey") Micieli of Schenectady, grandchildren: Jared Duell, Nathan (Kari) Duell, Audra Carpenito (Lenny), Joseph Amorosi and Brett (Ashley) Amorosi. Rose leaves behind her cherished great grandchildren: Jolie and Bailie Duell and L.J. Carpenito. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A special thank you to her wonderful aides and the team at Community Hospice for the excellent care extended to Rose. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on the family Tuesday, May 17 from 10-12 noon at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon, Pastor Jason Wampler of Victory Baptist Church officiating. A procession will leave for the Gerald B.H.
