I sure miss this guy, and think of him often through the years. What a wonderful tribute and photos. I had the pleasure of being Tony’s overnight caregiver during my senior year in high school when he lived in the Clifton Park apartment during the Sunday to Thursday weeknights, taking over from Jon in the evenings. Mr C was a joy, taught me more than I seemed to learn in academics, which is where I went the next mornings through the gate or over the fence at Shenendehowa. Wish I had stayed in touch after we moved away from the area. I just took care of my Dad who recently passed away couple months ago after the last few years of care, and it was because of Tony I learned to care and could step up to this. He would talk about his sister Mary. Thank you, old Friend and one time mentor. Your eternal memory before God is a blessing to me.

Some teachers have a way of inspiring and changing lives forever... Mr. cherico was one of those teachers for me. All of his classes brought history to life and made me want to learn more about not only our country but those around the world. It is something that has stayed with me today and that I have passes on to my children. Mr. Cherico also inspired me personally, setting the example of always being positive... He and I established a fun tradition of sending each- other a Valentine, he describing his love for the non- winning, non de- function Montreal Expos, me for the also non-winning Mets. As college, marriage, kids, careers and life became too busy, I unfortunately lost touch with my old mentor and friend. (but I would sometimes send him a mental valentine in my head). I hope he understood what a difference he made in my life... I am sad for his passing but know that he touched many lives by the way he lived and taught. Thank you Mr. Cherico! Nancy (Bosher) Taylor
