Obituary of Maria G. Peccichio

Maria G. Peccichio, 95, a life long resident of Schenectady NY passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17th 2016. Born on September 23, 1922 she lived her entire life at her beloved home on Foster Avenue in Schenectady. During WWII, Maria worked at the Schenectady GE plant. Later in life, she worked as a lunch monitor for the Schenectady School System at Yates School. Maria was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She dedicated her life to taking care of her father and brothers, keeping a warm and beautiful home for the entire family. Throughout her life, she had a great passion for her vegetable garden. In addition to gardening, Maria loved sewing and cooking. As a person, she was a kind and generous lady who will be missed. She was predeceased by her parents John and Rose Peccichio, and her 7 brothers Samuel, Angelo, Stephen, Carmino, Carmen, Joseph, John Jr. and her 4 sisters Jennie DeSorbe, Antoinette Paludi, Julia Marrone and Annie Miglucci. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, June 21st, at the Glenville Funeral Home located at 9 Glenridge Road in Glenville NY. Family and friends may visit the family prior to services at 9 AM. Internment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Glenville.
