Obituary of Stanley Nowacki

Stanley Nowacki Sr., 84, of Clifton Park passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on June 19, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Albany, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Julia (Homka) Nowacki. Stan graduated from Albany High School then proudly served in the USAF during the Korean War attaining rank of staff sergeant. He was a dispatcher in the Oil Transportation Industry for thirty plus years working out of the port of Rensselaer, retiring in 1984. He married the former Lena Cartabona on January 22, 1955. Stan was a longtime member of Saint Margaret Mary’s Parish in Albany prior to moving to Clifton Park in recent years. Stan enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Johnny Evers League for many years. He kept fit and worked out regularly throughout his life even before going to the gym was popular. Stan and Lena enjoyed four months for 22 years at Hilton Head Island, SC. where Stan honed his game throughout the winter! Survivors include his wife Lena, sons, Stanley "Stan" Nowacki Jr. and his wife Gloria and David Nowacki and his wife Johanna all of Clifton Park; four grandchildren: Erika, Stanley III, Lee Ann and Jennifer Nowacki as well as several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery in Saratoga.
