Obituary of John D. Pahl

John D. Pahl, 60, peacefully at rest, June 26, 2016. John was born in Schenectady on August 13, 1955, the son of Vivian (Mitchell) Pahl and Julius Pahl. John graduated from BH-BL in 1973 and then completed the G.E. Apprentice Training Course before taking a full time job with the company. G.E. relocated John to Virginia where he married the mother of his three children, the former Janet Allen. John worked as chief engineer in the hospitality industry for over 25 years for various hotels in Virginia. He was a baptized Lutheran. John had simple desires in life, peaceful retreats and camping was a favorite pastime. He was predeceased by his brother James, his father Julius and his grandson Julius. Survivors are his children, Justin (Jennifer) Pahl, Jonathan (Kendra) Pahl, and Jennie (Jim) Pahl; his beloved grandchildren, Julia and Jacob; his brothers, Jeffrey (Tracy) and Mark Pahl and his sisters, Melissa (Gregory) Rogers and Johanna (David) Nowacki; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) June 28 at 1 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 547 Saratoga Rd. Glenville with Rev. Deron Milleville officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited. Interment will be in the Pahl Family Plot at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
