Obituary of Rosemary Watson

Rosemary Watson, 87, passed away peacefully July 1, 2016 at Glendale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Glenville. Born in Rochester NY and raised, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Barbara Lessard. Rosemary was a 1950 graduate from Albany State Teachers College. She married Richard C. Watson on August 17, 1950. She then raised a family. Rosemary enjoyed having cats throughout her life. Her hobbies were reading, gardening and travel. Her daughter Elaine (1988) and husband Richard (2003) predeceased her. The Watson family wishes to thank Glendale Home for the compassion and quality care given to Rosemary during her stay. Survivors include her three sons, Gary Watson (Lisa) of Austin, TX, Kenneth Watson (Anne) of Malta and Dean Watson of Schenectady; daughters, Gail Preuninger (Fred) of Bethlehem, PA and Mary Ann Watson of Rotterdam. Rosemary was blessed with four grandchildren: Barbara, Theodore, Christina and Kristen and 4 great grandchildren: Callista, Sydney, Dominick and Matthew. Funeral services will begin 12:30 pm Wednesday July 6, 2016 at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. A calling hour will precede the funeral service for Rosemary from 11:30-12:30. A committal rite of Christian Burial will be read at 2 pm at the Gerald Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Activities Fund at Glendale Home, 59 Hetcheltown Rd. Glenville, NY 12302. Arrangements entrusted to Glenvillefuneralhome.com.
