Obituary of David Ross Germain

DAVID ROSS GERMAIN, 61 passed away on Sunday, August 7, at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. David was the son of Malcolm and the late Lois Germain. Dave, a graduate of the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University, recently retired after working for 35 years at General Electric's Global Research and Developmental Center. He is survived by his children Elisabeth and Nathan Germain, his brothers Bruce Germain (Cheryl), Barry Germain (Sharky), and Steven Germain (Barbara), and his many nieces and nephews. An avid outdoorsman, Dave loved hiking in the Adirondacks, camping, kayaking, and canoeing. He also enjoyed golfing, racquetball and coaching and playing soccer. He loved his family and enjoyed spending afternoons around the dining room table playing cards with them. Dave enjoyed the simple things in life and watching the ones he loved have a good time; so please join us to celebrate his life on Thursday, August 11, 2016 anytime between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Pinhead Susan's 38 N. Broadway, Schenectady, NY. In lieu of flowers, think of Dave the next time you're working in your garden and plant something special in his memory.
