Obituary of Melinda A. Kelly

Melinda A. Kelly (Mindy), 34, passed away peacefully at her home August 23, 2016. Born on June 25, 1982, she is the daughter of Shaun J. and Sandra (Sankowski) Kelly of Glenville. A lifelong resident, Mindy was a 2000 graduate of BH-BL Central Schools. As a young girl she would spend hours in the water; whether a lake or ocean. A favorite pastime of hers was playing board games. She was devoted mother to her son, Joseph P. Wasson Jr. Mindy is fondly remembered as a lover of dogs, especially her Rufus. Mindy was predeceased by her aunt Linda Marie Kelly. She is survived by her son Joseph, her parents, Shaun and Sandra Kelly; her brothers, David P. and Devin L. Kelly. Mindy leaves behind aunts and uncles, Walter (Denise) Sankowski of Glenville, Linda (Dennis) O'Brien of Saratoga Springs, and Kevin (Emily) Kelly of Rensselaerville. There are also several nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday (August 26) from 5-7 pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd, Glenville. A service of remembrance will take place at 7 pm following calling hours. Memorials may be made to the Joseph P. Wasson, Jr. Benefit Fund at Trustco Bank.
