Obituary of Robert Guion

Robert Guion, 63, passed away on January 18, 2013 peacefully with his loving wife by his side and surrounded by his beloved dogs. Survivors include his wife Susan Genco, his daughters Yvonne Puckett and Sonja Alexander, seven sisters and a brother. Robert was a founding member of "Keepers of the Circle", a Native American Friendship Center in the Capitol District. He has lectured his program "Native Americans, the First Recycler's" in countless schools and venues around the country. His artwork has been featured in many motion pictures and used by many Western Artists. His thorough knowledge of history had earned him a place as museum consultant and appraiser. He attracted many dear and loyal collectors and friends over the years. He was truly a beloved friend, mentor and inspiration to the many who knew him. His wife would like to say thank you and acknowledge all the help and outpouring of love shown during Bob's long illness. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke's on the Hill in Clifton Park, New York in the spring. The Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville, NY has assisted with the arrangements.
