Obituary of Geraldine M. Holbrook
Geraldine M. Holbrook,93, a resident of The Home of the Good Shepherd at Highpointe, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2016, with her beloved children by her side. Geraldine, born in Utica, was the daughter of Clarence and Mildred Mosher. She was predeceased by her husband Wallace and son, Philip. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Thomas) Somerville, son, David (Toni) Holbrook and son, John (Kim) Holbrook. Geraldine is also survived by her grandson, Matthew (Erin) Somerville, greatgrandsons, Bennett and Declan, granddaughter, Katherine Somerville, and grandson, Justin (Juliana) Holbrook, great granddaughter, AmeliaRose and grandson, Steven Holbrook. Geraldine's chief love was her beloved family and she enjoyed cooking,reading and playing piano and bridge. She was an expert quilter. She enjoyed working at the Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Community Library and attended the Burnt Hills Methodist Church. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, September 8th, at 10 A.M. in the Glenville Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Holly Nye officiating. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, September 7th, at the funeral home from 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The City Mission, 425 Hamilton Street, Schenectady, NY, 12305.
