Obituary of Ernest Friers

Ernest T. "Ted" Friers, 65, passed away at his home January 16, 2013. Son of the late Ernest John Friers Jr and Virginia Marion Stinson. He is survived by his beloved wife Filomena A. Miglucci and his step daughters Jennifer M. (Chad) Kress and Amanda W. Snyder. He is also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Samuel E. Snyder, Aaron N. Snyder and Gavin E. Kress. Ted leaves behind his brothers: Thomas R. (Mary), David J. (Wendy), Joseph W. (Pamela), Joel C. (Carol) and Michael J. (Carolyn) Friers. Survivors also include his aunt Margaret E. Friers, several nieces and nephews, cousins and close personal friends, Martha and Steve Nellis. Ted was proud of his honorable service in the U.S. Navy and both Army and Navy Reserve. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may donate to the National Rifle Association or a charitable organization of their choice in Ted's memory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11 A.M. from St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Nott St. at Seward Place Schenectady by Rev. Richard A. Carlino. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (January 24) from 6-8 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville, NY. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes Hill, New York.
