Obituary of Robert R. Frear

Robert R. Frear, 98, passed away peacefully at the Glendale Home surrounded by his family on October 6, 2016. Born in Schenectady, New York he was the son of the late Harold and Helen Frear. Robert proudly defended his country serving in the Air Force from 1943 to 1946. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying. He also was a longtime fire chief at the East Glenville Fire Department. Robert was predeceased by his wife June Frear in 2008. He is survived by his daughters, Judyth (Dennis) Connelly and Marilyn (Lee) Hollenbeck; two grandchildren, Lisa (Victor) Russo and Robert (Marie DiDonna) Douglas; and five great-grandchildren, Aidan and Ava Russo and Brandon, Ryan and Casey Douglas. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Robert’s family would like to thank the entire staff of Glendale Home, especially the Dutch Hollow unit for the care shown to Robert.
