Obituary of Wayne D. Goodwin Jr.

Wayne D. Goodwin Jr., 40, passed away unexpectedly November 2, 2016. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Schenectady, NY. Born on May 13, 1976, he was the son of Wanda Goodwin Smith, the late Wayne Goodwin Sr. and was the step-son of Roy Smith. Wayne married his lovely wife, Lisa M. Sgueglia, on July 3, 1999. He was a loving husband and father who was extremely proud of his three daughters. At the time of his passing he was employed in the electrical assembly field. Wayne is survived by his wife, Lisa Goodwin; three daughters, Gianna, Niara and Nadia Goodwin; his parents, Wanda and Roy Smith; maternal grandmother, Ethel Bowman; his four brothers, Jason Goodwin, Antoan Baker, Dominique Baker and Jacques Baker. Three sisters, Natikka Anderson, Shlonda Parsons and Deja Vu McClean. Wayne is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Wayne was a loving father, husband, son, cousin, grandson and friend to all. He was big hearted, humorous and a joy to be around. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Scotia-Glenville. A funeral service will follow at 5:15 p.m. Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
