Obituary of Marjorie J. Kremzier

Marjorie J. Kremzier, 85, passed peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on December 2, 2016. Born in Schenectady, Marjorie was a proud Scotia resident her entire life. The beloved daughter of the late Frederick and Josephine(Santor) Gleeson, she was an only child. Marjorie attended school at Scotia High School, and graduated in 1949. Marjorie’s working career began when she was 11 years old, attending to young children, including newborns. At the age of 16, Marge was the secretary at St. Joseph’s Church in Scotia. Following her graduation from High School, she was employed as a bookkeeper at Bee Business Forms, Schenectady NY. Her beloved husband, Edward Kremzier, and Marge shared 64 wonderful years together. Marge was born on June 14th, our nation’s flag day. Her loving spouse, Ed, always told her that all of the American flags around the world were flying in her honor. After growing her family with Ed, Marge returned to working in a career at Finely Fine Jewelry. As an avid traveler, Marjorie traveled throughout the United States, including the islands of Hawaii, as well as to other destinations like Bermuda and Canada. Marge and her husband enjoyed summer months with the kids at their camp on Galway Lake in Saratoga County, there they hosted many fun filled days and nights with family and friends. Her children appreciated everything she did for them during their childhood. Marjorie was also a long time member of St. Joseph’s Rosary Alter Society. Predeceased by her parents Frederick Gleeson and Josephine Santor. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Edward R. Kremzier, her children:Christopher (Juliana) Kremzier of Scotia, NY; Edward M. (Lisa) Kremzier of Taunton, MA; Mary Jo (R.Thomas) Girard of Scotia, NY; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, December 10th at St. Joseph’s Church, 231 Second St. Scotia, NY. Relatives and friends will be received at the church from 9-10am. Marjorie will be interred in a private family service on June 14, 2017 at Memory Garden's Cemetery (Flag Day). Memorial contributions may be made her church or to a charity of one's choice.
