Obituary of Angelo Pedone Jr.

Angelo C. Pedone, Jr., 62, passed peacefully on February 16, 2017 at Ellis Hospital with his family at his side. Born in Schenectady on March 22, 1954, he was the beloved son of Josephine (Mango) Pedone of Niskayuna and the late Angelo Pedone, Sr. Angelo graduated in 1972 from Bishop Gibbons High School and attended St. Michael’s College in Vermont. He then moved to Florida where he was employed by Browning Ferris Industries. He returned to the capital district where he continued his career working in the family waste and recycling business. Angelo was a longtime member of the Ballston Lake Fire Department, where he enjoyed serving his community as a firefighter and a Commissioner. In his spare time, Angelo enjoyed hunting, gardening, and cooking meals for his family and close friends. Above all, he was a devoted father who cherished the time he spent with his daughters. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne (Perau) Pedone, daughters, Daniella Ann, Nicolette Michelina Josephine and Christina Mary Pedone, all of Ballston Lake. Angelo is survived by his brother, Vincent (Nicole) Pedone and sisters, Rosanne (Dennis) Carringi, Marylou Pedone, Joanne Ferrara, brother-in-law, Ange Ferrara, and Barbara Pedone; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Angelo’s life will be held Tuesday, February 21st at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, Nott St. at Seward Place, Schenectady. All are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
