Obituary of William B. Riddle

William B. Riddle Jr., 93, from Scotia, NY passed away peacefully on February 24, 2017. Born and raised in Jonesville, NY to the late William B. Riddle Sr. and Edna Riddle. He graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, and entered the Marine Corps, where he served in World War II and Iwo Jima. He married his late beloved wife of 30 plus years, Marilyn Somers, at the United Methodist Church in Scotia, where he was a lifelong member. William worked as a General Electric Draftsman at KAPL for over 40 years. He was a life time member and the Chief of the Beukendaal Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed working in his yard, being a part of the Elks Club, and vacationing in Edgewater, Florida during the winter months. He is predeceased by his late son Jeffrey Riddle; son-in-law, Douglas Huffman; grandson Michael Huffman, siblings, and his loving companion of over 20 years, Patricia Gebert. Survivors include his loving daughter, Sherri Huffman of South Glens Falls; his loving son, Todd and his wife LaDonna of Moreno Valley, CA; daughter-n-law Laure' Riddle of Scotia NY, and daughters of Patricia Gebert, Sharon Fisher and Denise Eliseo; grandchildren, Marc Huffman and his fiance Dena, Chelsey and Kiara Riddle, Darci and her husband Chris Boniewski; great grandchildren, Paige LeRoy and Cameron Boniewski. Funeral services will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, located on 9 Glenridge Road, on Saturday, March 4th, at 11 AM. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, March 3rd at Glenville Funeral Home. An interment will follow funeral services at Schenectady Memorial Park.
