Obituary of Donna Hall Linville

Donna Hall Linville passed away on March 25, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with an incurable illness. She was born in Lindsay, California on June 16, 1950, and often reflected on her love for the beauty of California. In 1978, she married Edward D. Linville and together they had 3 children. Her family is the love of her life and she is a dedicated, intuitive, and unusually accomplished Mom and wife. She moved five times to different parts of the country, each time settling her family, and ensuring the continuing welfare and upbringing of their children, and most, each time, establishing a loving, supportive, and fun home. In 2000, she bought her family's retirement home, on a hill, with a 100 mile view. She loves the green woods, Pooh Pond, and especially the wild animals who seem to visit her on her walks. A lover of animals, she adores her dogs Migs and Callie. She has much happiness in her home and especially enjoys the visits of her children, granddaughter, and friends. Donna is an especially accomplished seamstress skilled in quilting and the art of embroidery. She loves traditional country music and owns over 900 albums beginning with Elvis and all the country music performers of the early years. You could always find her with music on and a smile on her face. She taught her family the art of baking and the skills of cooking with the personal touch. She is a devotee of sharing her love and friendship with many friends thorough today's technology. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward Linville, her children, Suzanne of Denver, Colorado, Julie of New York City, and Allen Thomas and his wife Jill of Longwood, Florida. She is survived by the special and new love of her life, granddaughter Ava June Linville. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 1 PM at the West Charlton United Presbyterian Church, located at 1331 Sacandaga Road, West Charlton New York. Donna and her family would encourage remembrances to be made to the St. Peter's Hospital, ALS Regional Center, Lewis Golub MDA/ALS Clinic, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany NY 12205, where donations will be used to fund ALS research and support local families battling with ALS.
