Obituary of Albert G. Peek

Albert G. Peek, “Buck”, 76, of Glenridge Rd., passed away peacefully April 11, 2017 at home with his loving family at his side. Born on May 17, 1940 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Edward Peek Sr. and Anna Mae Schmidt Peek. Albert was a maintenance mechanic for 43 years working for the Golub Corporation. His specialty was fabricating parts used to fix wheeled equipment. Buck was married on March 1, 1964 to the former Judith A. Otten at the Albany Street Methodist Church. They raised a family in Rexford. Buck enjoyed stock car racing, bow hunting, snowmobiling and camping. He was a family oriented person. Buck belonged to the Indian Lake Snowarriors. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Peek; children: daughters, Kim Sorensen (Glenn), Shirley Hannah (Craig) and his son, Kenny Peek (Zoe); brothers, Edward Peek Sr. (Anne), Joseph Peek (Carole) and his sister, Marilyn Vasko (Steve). Buck leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Andrew Smith (Kim), Erika and Kyle Sorensen and several nieces and nephews. There are no planned services.
