Obituary of Charles Phipps

Charles H. Phipps III, 55, died suddenly January 29th at his home. He was the son of the late Charles H. Phipps Jr. and Anio Phipps. Charles was a 1975 graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, then attended SCCC and SUNY Albany. Charlie at one time worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany. He was a security guard for the NY Giants summer camp in Albany and a test monitor in Albany and Troy. He was a carrier for the Daily Gazette. Mr. Phipps was an avid movie buff and enjoyed taking trips to Boston, MA. He is survived by his loving companion, Lori Menia of Schenectady; his sister, Kittie Phipps, brother, Shawn Phipps, both of Schenectady, and brother, Shannon Phipps of Minnesota; uncle of Kevin Phipps. There will be a memorial service at a time to be announced.
