Obituary of Marianne E. Moore

Marianne E. Moore, 81, passed away peacefully at home April 30, 2017 with her loving family by her side.  Born on October 25, 1935 in Schenectady, she was the beloved daughter of the late Aurielio and Maria Kappel Pastrana.  Following her graduation from Mont Pleasant High School she went into the workforce as a secretary at General Electric.  She later worked as an assistant for Schenectady attorney, Alfred Goldberger, then ended her career as a secretary for Union College in the Political Science Department.
She was predeceased in 1980 by her husband Robert J. Moore.  Family was always very important to Marianne, she was very close with her four children throughout her life.  She loved being around family and friends; feeding everyone well!  Marianne was a fan of "Me TV" and easy listening music, shopping and going out to eat with friends.  She loved animals (especially dogs) and her favorite color was blue.

Besides her parents, and husband, she was also predeceased by her brothers Raul and Ricardo Pastrana.
The family wishes to thank Community Hospice for the care given by doctors, nurses, and her caregivers. Survivors include her children: James Stevens III (Patty), Eric Stevens (Patti), Robert "Rob" Moore and Jennie Kingsley (Ron); grandchildren, James (Marissa), Josh (Jennifer), Jason,  Lauren and Kelsey Stevens and Helena and Macy Kingsley.  She leaves behind her cherished great- grandchildren Kendra, Jordan, Kaedence, Natalie, Carter and Jameson. 
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held Friday 11 am at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd.  Visiting  hours Thursday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.  A procession will follow the funeral services on Friday to Memory Gardens.  Please dress in casual attire and wear something blue, and in honor of Marianne's memory do something kind to another.
