Obituary of Marguerite A. Lussier

Marguerite A. Lussier, 82 passed away peacefully May 13, 2017 with her family by her side.
Born in Waterville, Maine on November 24, 1934. She was the youngest daughter of eight children born to the late Arthur and Alexina Plouffe Babineau.
Marguerite grew up in Worcester, Mass and graduated from Holy Name Of Jesus Highschool, in Worcester, Mass. Marge married Donald J. Lussier on February 2, 1957 in Worcester, Mass. She spoke of Donald as “the love of her life”. Marge and Donald moved to Staten Island, then later settled in Charlton, New York, where they raised a family of five children, five dogs, four cats, gerbils, snakes and a bird or two over the years. Marge and her family made many wonderful memories on adventures, such as seaside family vacations, trips to her beloved Disney World as well as skiing and camping escapades.
Marge worked as a Realtor for Welbourne and Purdy in Burnt Hills for nearly 20 years.                 Upon her husbands passing, Marge immersed herself in her parish community. She was involved in numerous ministries including, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Greeter, RCIA, Prison Ministry, Parish Council and Resurrection Committee. Marge had a knack for design which was exemplified as she led the church decorating team in Ordinary Time and Holy Day preparation. She volunteered at Bethesda House.
Like Saint Francis, she had a great passion and affection for animals. She enjoyed golf, gardening and the camaraderie of good friends and family. She loved the Red Sox. Her love of travel, family and friends, led her to Cape Cod, California, Holland, Italy, London, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Africa. Passionate and independent, she was happiest opening her home for entertaining guests, who left knowing they were family.
Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Donald and six siblings, Jeanne Haffty, Reverend Alexis Babineau, Earl Babineau, Sister Ruth Babineau, Una Kasper, and Joseph Babineau.
